Yes, God Is Real
Yes, God Is Real
One thing that I have come to realize is, Yes, God is real. I think about the day that my back was against the wall. There was nothing that I could do but surrender my life into the hands of God. I traveled so far from anything that resembled my life. I tasted success and fulfilled many social constructs.
I married a great man, two beautiful children, a valuable family heritage, friends, little bichon dog (Chelsea), a great career, multiple degrees, professional certifications, and so much more. Honestly, the love of worldly possession, status, and prosperity compromised my ability to hear God’s voice. I began reflecting on life when it was simple.
Proverbs 22:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
My Grandmother introduced me to Christ as a child. She taught me to call on the Lord. So, I did! Sovereign Lord, please help me make sense of the endless pain and emptiness that was consuming my daily thoughts. I couldn’t just lay there and die; it wasn’t in me to quit.
I prayed fervently my soul required healing. I read Psalm 13 (NIV) and felt like the psalmist was speaking about me: “How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
What about you? Are you at crossroads in your life and need to know whether God is Real? I encourage you to try him for yourself.
Colossians 1:16-17 King James Version (KJV)
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
What I know for sure is Yes, God is Real.
