There is Power in Prayer

A Prayer for the Ephesians
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
For the last seven and half years, we have gathered on Saturday morning for prayer. This prayer journey began in the fall of 2013. Each week I gathered in my office with co-workers who believed in the power of prayer. We arrived before work each week for intercessory prayer. There was always a sweet spirit surrounding us each time we met.
Something always made me feel like there was a special blessing lingering within those four walls. We stood together to seek God for victories in the lives of the families we served. God makes all things brand new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Somehow, I knew God was creating something new; each person walked away changed. Today, we diligently seek God each week with great expectations. We have stood on one accord in prayer through life challenges. Together we have witnessed God’s faithfulness to answer prayer. There is power in prayer!
Life has challenged everyone in the last year and, there’s has never been a time more in need of prayer. We are in desperate need of God’s incredible mercy, grace, deliverance, healing, and restoration.
How can we help change the condition of our world?
It starts with bowing down on bended knees to pray.
