Worship Christ Our Lord
John 4:24
King James Version
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
There is something about worshiping God that shifts life perspectives from self-reliance to seeking God for resolution. You can be going through the darkest night of the soul. The problem may persist, however, your focus changes from your encounter to experiencing the presence of God.
I once mentored a student who introduced a scripture that spoke peace into her life. The prophet Isaiah brought insight into her suffering.
Isaiah 43:1-3
New International Version
43 But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush[a] and Seba in your stead.
Isaiah proclaims God’s assurance to protect despite the hard places in your life. Lately, I have learned of family and friends suffering with excruciating pain. Homicide, domestic violence, Covid, death, chronic sickness, strokes, cancer, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, bell palsy, iron deficiency, unemployment, broken relationships, poverty, and extreme levels of depression. Hopelessness can be seen in the eyes of people worldwide. Life looks different, many people are having a tough time seeing pass their pain.
Life has extracted from most of us repeatedly! Yet, God has been faithful to restore and, to give peace despite the tides in our lives. God is faithful! And, there is only one way, I know how to deal with the depth of despair.
“Surrender your burdens, trust God’s will and worship Christ Our Lord.”
It will change your life forever.
