The Running Water

I am Shelia Warren-Felder, also known as “The Running Water.” God gave me this name in the early 2000s, long before I understood the depth of its meaning. Over time, I realized my life was destined to flow more forcefully with purpose, faith, and perseverance.

I was born of man, but ordained by God to move forward like springs of living water. As written in John 7:38 (NIV) Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

I am a wise woman of God, building my house—mind, body, soul, spirit, and my physical home. My journey began on the West Side of Chicago, where I was raised in the Jane Addams low-income housing community. I became a young teenage mother, but through faith, determination, and God's grace, my life continued to flow forward.

Today I am a wife, a proud mother of two miracle children, and a loving grandmother to a vibrant granddaughter.

The name Running Water represents who I am: calm yet powerful, refreshing yet persistent, always moving forward. God has always been with me through every season of my life.

I am a writer, host, and co-author (ghostwriter) of a published book. I enjoy encouraging others by sharing inspiration and creating spaces where people can be heard and uplifted. I believe in being a bridge for others, listening attentively and helping people move forward in their own journeys.

My passion for youth and children led me to open an in-home daycare, where I nurtured and supported young lives. I believe laughter keeps hearts healthy and strong, and I always welcome a good conversation that uplifts the spirit.

Through education and life experiences, I have gained many skills and certifications. I am innovative, curious, and always eager to learn.

I am also the Founder and Host of the Facebook Live talk show “Watch My Flow,” where I share conversations that encourage growth, healing, and purpose.

I volunteer in my community, assist families in need, and offer my hands and heart for the greater work God has placed before me.

I am also a health advocate. In July 2002, I received a kidney transplant, and God carried me through that journey as well as many illnesses, including salivary gland cancer found behind my left ear. Through every challenge, my faith has remained strong.

I believe my purpose is to shine my light and help others shine theirs. My prayer is simple: that my life is pleasing to God and that even those who oppose me may find peace.

I am The Running Water—always flowing forward.
