Resurrection: The Power That Changed Everything

Resurrection is not just a moment in history, it is the turning point of eternity. It is the day death lost its grip, the grave was defeated, and hope became alive forevermore. The empty tomb declares a truth that still echoes today: Jesus is not dead—He is risen. The Scriptures tell us plainly:

Matthew 28:6 (KJV)
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.

This single moment reshaped the destiny of humanity. Before the resurrection, sin held dominion, and death was final. But when Jesus rose, He didn’t just get up—He broke the power of sin, crushed the authority of death, and made a way for you and me to live again. Because He lives, we are no longer bound.

Romans 6:9 (KJV)
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

And if death has no dominion over Him, it has no dominion over those who belong to Him.

This is the impact of the resurrection:

• Chains can be broken

• Shame can be erased

• Your past does not define your future

• Eternal life is not a concept, it is a promise

But here is the truth many avoid: the resurrection cannot be celebrated without acknowledging the cost.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)
Jesus was beaten, mocked, pierced, and crucified—not for His sins, but for ours.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

The cross was not symbolic. It was substitution.

He took our place.

So today, Resurrection Sunday is not just about what He did, it’s about what we will do with what He did.

Pause and consider:

• If Jesus gave His life for you, what is holding you back from giving your life to Him?

• What is the cost of rejecting a sacrifice that was made to save you?

The resurrection is an invitation—but it requires a response.

Romans 10:9, KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

This is not about religion. This is about relationship. It’s about surrender. It’s about transformation.

You don’t have to stay the same.

You don’t have to carry guilt another day.

You don’t have to wonder if God loves you—the cross and the empty tomb settled that forever.
